 This privacy statement provides information about the processing and the protection of your personal data.

Hereafter, The CATALYST project partners, are committed to protect your personal data and to respect your privacy.

The CATALYST project partners collect and further processes personal data pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 all data is carefully treated and collected as confidential and strictly use it under the framework of the CATALYST project activities in compliance with the EU legal regulations and the Erasmus Programme rules.All data collected and managed under the CATALYST project activities, namely e-mails, country of living, and professional occupation, are in strict compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

This notice is addressed to all partners participating in the CATALYST project and registered learners of the CATALYST platform.

 

  1. Why do we process your personal data?

Project partners collect data for their legal obligations as an EU co-funded project CATALYST that includes online learning platform and networking. Being part of the Platform and the network necessitates your registration and sharing some of your personal data, where needed, which is needed for the purposes of the very Project.

No personal information is collected without your knowledge. Although you can browse through most of this website without giving any information about yourself, in some cases, personal information is required to provide specific services. In that case, such information is treated according to the policy described in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Information about the use of your data is provided in the privacy policy statements.

The scope of the data collected is the minimum necessary for each purpose, avoiding as much as possible personal information. However, no personal information is collected without the knowledge and consent of the target audience.

No data will be shared with third parties outside the other than the external providers or used for unintended purposes without the express consent and prior notification to the interested individuals. When personal data is collected, the purpose will be clearly expressed.

 

  1. Legal grounds for processing your personal data

Your personal data is processed on the following legal grounds:

Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) (2016/679) for the processing activities consisting in cookies, authentication and getting in touch with us, requires data subject`s consent as necessary. In compliance with GDPR relevant articles, namely, Article 3(15) of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725, Article 3 (11) of Regulation (EU) (2016/679), Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 and Article 7 of Regulation (EU) (2016/679), consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous.

Where we rely on consent, we obtain it directly from the data subject, and it can be expressed by an email, via e-registration form, or in any other electronic or written form.

 

  1. Which personal data do we collect and how?

 

  • First name and last name
  • Country of living
  • Professional occupation

Data will be collected through the CATALYST e-learning platform.

Information is collected on the CATALYST website by filling in online form. It is collected exclusively to the extent necessary to fulfill a specific purpose. We may use the information to inform you on other activities we feel could be of interest to you.

By filling in form on the CATALYST website and clicking on “send” you agree to the collection and storage of the Personal Information requested under the conditions specified above.

Personal data will not be used for an automated decision-making, including profiling.

 

  1. How long do we keep your personal data?

The data collected within the framework of the CATALYST project will be retained by the project partners until 31/05/2031 or five years after the end of the project implementation period, to comply with regulatory obligations. Once the retention period has passed, the CATALYST project partners potential subcontractors / external providers will take adequate measures to delete all personal data collected within the project.

At the request of the user, personal data used for the identification of learners in relation to attending courses, receiving certificates and digital badges, will be maintained indefinitely. The user can at any point request the deletion of their persona data.

Deletion of personal data consists in anonymising data collected and archived, so that these can be used only for statistical purposes. Anonymised data cannot lead to the identification of the person that provided the original data.

 

  1. With whom do we share your data?

The CATALYST project may use external providers to process your personal data. You will be informed and your express consent required whenever possible.

The CATALYST project partners make sure to demand their external providers to provide them with adequate safeguards regarding personal data protection.

 External providers of the CATALYST project will have limited access to personal data strictly necessary for the completion of the services rendered. They will also be contractually bound to use the personal data in compliance with the current regulation regarding personal data.

Data may also be provided for the purpose of reporting or auditing CATALYST project.

 

  1. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make a user’s experience more efficient. If you want to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, please refer to the instructions for your file management software to locate the file or directory that stores cookies. You can access them through some types of browser. More information about cookies, including how to block them or delete them, can be found at AboutCookies.org.

 

In order to protect your privacy, our use of third party IT tools to connect to those services does not set cookies when our website pages are loaded on your computer (or other devices), nor are you immediately redirected to those social media or other websites. Only in the event that you click on a button or “play” on a video to watch it, a cookie of the social media company concerned will be installed on your device. If you do not click on any social media buttons or videos, no cookies will be installed on your device by third parties.

When visitors to this website choose to follow a link to any external website, they leave the official domain of this website, and are subject to the cookie, privacy and legal policies of the external website.

 

Compliance with applicable data protection and accessibility requirements of external websites linked to from Commission websites falls outside the control of the the CATALYST Platform/Project and is the explicit responsibility of the external website.”

 

  1. What rights you have over your data

According to the GDPR Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “Every person may, on simple request addressed to the DPO of CATALYST, have free access to all the information concerning them in clear language (any codes must be explained).

Every person may directly require from an organisation holding information about them the data to be corrected (if they are wrong), completed or clarified (if they are incomplete or equivocal), or erased (if this information could not legally be collected).

Anyone may oppose that information about them is used for advertising purposes or for commercial purposes.

They may also oppose to information concerning them being disclosed to a third party for such purposes. The persons concerned should have the possibility of exercising their right to oppose the disclosure of their data to a third party at the moment the data is collected. The use of automatic calling machines or faxes for advertising purposes is prohibited unless the person has given their prior consent.

You can exercise your rights by contacting the Data Controllers, or in case of conflict the Data protection officers. If necessary you can also address the European Data Protection Supervisor and the relevant data protection authorities. If you believe that the processing of your personal data constitutes a violation of the legislation in force, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority concerned.
